These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the VIP Discounts website and membership program. By registering for, purchasing or using a VIP Discounts membership, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1About VIP Discounts
VIP Discounts is a membership platform designed to give members access to exclusive discounts, preferred pricing and special offers from participating businesses across the building, renovating and home improvement industries.
Our participating businesses may include retailers, product suppliers, trades, renovators and other service providers (“VIP Partners”).
VIP Discounts provides access to these member benefits but, unless expressly stated otherwise, does not directly supply the products or services offered by VIP Partners.
2Membership
A valid VIP Discounts membership provides access to offers made available by participating VIP Partners during the applicable membership period.
Membership benefits may include:
- discounted product pricing;
- special member pricing;
- trade or preferred pricing;
- discounts on services;
- exclusive offers;
- member-only promotions; and
- other benefits offered from time to time.
Membership benefits are subject to the individual terms and conditions of each VIP Partner.
3Partner Discounts
Discounts and offers vary between VIP Partners and may also vary between individual products, brands and services.
A discount advertised as “up to” a particular percentage does not mean that the maximum discount applies to every product, brand or service offered by that Partner.
For example, a Partner may provide a higher discount on one product range and a lower discount on another.
Members should check the current VIP Partner offer and any applicable conditions before making a purchase.
4Sales, Promotions and Special Pricing
VIP member discounts may not always be used in conjunction with existing sales, promotions, clearance items, negotiated pricing or other special offers.
Individual VIP Partners determine how their VIP member offer applies to sale or promotional products.
Depending on the Partner and promotion, members may receive:
- the VIP member price;
- the advertised sale price;
- an additional discount;
- a reduced VIP discount; or
- the better of the available prices.
Any exclusions or special conditions will be determined by the relevant VIP Partner.
5Participating Businesses
VIP Discounts works with independent participating businesses.
VIP Partners determine their own products, services, pricing, availability and offer conditions.
Participating businesses and member offers may change from time to time.
VIP Discounts may add, remove or replace Partners or modify available membership offers as the program develops.
We will endeavour to keep the VIP Discounts website updated with current participating businesses and available offers.
6Purchasing Products and Services
Unless otherwise stated, purchases are made directly between the member and the relevant VIP Partner.
The Partner is responsible for the products or services it supplies, including matters such as:
- product availability;
- quotes and pricing;
- payment;
- delivery;
- installation;
- warranties;
- returns;
- refunds; and
- workmanship.
The Partner's own terms and conditions may also apply to the transaction.
7Service Providers
Some VIP Partners provide services rather than physical products.
These may include renovators, trades, installers and other home improvement businesses.
Any quotation, scope of works or agreement for services is between the member and the relevant service provider unless expressly stated otherwise.
Members should review the provider's quotation, inclusions, exclusions and terms before proceeding.
8Accessing VIP Discounts
Members may be required to provide evidence of their current VIP Discounts membership before receiving a Partner offer.
Depending on the Partner, this may include presenting membership details, using a member code, following a specific link or identifying yourself as a VIP Discounts member before requesting a quote or completing a purchase.
VIP discounts generally cannot be applied retrospectively after a transaction has been completed.
9Membership Use
Membership is intended for use by the registered member and must not be sold, transferred or shared with unrelated third parties unless expressly permitted by VIP Discounts.
Membership codes, Partner pricing and other member-only information must not be publicly distributed or used for unauthorised commercial purposes.
VIP Discounts reserves the right to suspend or cancel membership where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, misuse or a serious breach of these Terms.
10Savings and Pricing
VIP Discounts aims to provide members with access to valuable discounts and preferred pricing.
However, we do not guarantee that a VIP price will always be the lowest price available in the market.
Retailers and service providers may occasionally offer sales, clearance pricing, promotional offers or individually negotiated prices that differ from VIP member pricing.
Members remain responsible for deciding whether a particular offer is suitable for them.
11Changes to the VIP Partner Network
VIP Discounts is continuing to build and expand its network.
Partners, discounts and offers available during the soft-launch period may therefore change as new businesses join the program and existing offers are updated.
The businesses displayed on the VIP Discounts website represent the participating network at the relevant time and should not be taken as a guarantee that every Partner or offer will remain available indefinitely.
12Website Information
VIP Discounts takes reasonable steps to ensure information displayed on its website is accurate and current.
However, Partner pricing, product availability and offer conditions may change.
If there is a discrepancy regarding a particular Partner offer, members should contact VIP Discounts or the relevant Partner before completing their purchase.
13Membership Fees and Refunds
Any applicable membership fee will be clearly displayed before purchase.
Refund and cancellation rights are subject to the conditions applying to the relevant membership and any rights available under Australian law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
14Liability
VIP Discounts facilitates access to offers provided by independent participating businesses.
To the extent permitted by law, VIP Discounts is not responsible for the acts or omissions of an independent VIP Partner or for products or services supplied directly by that Partner.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
15Changes to These Terms
VIP Discounts may update these Terms & Conditions as the membership program develops.
The current version will be published on the VIP Discounts website.
Where appropriate, existing members will be notified of material changes affecting their membership.
16Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory and applicable Commonwealth laws of Australia.
